Prayer Line Ministry

Do you like to pray or do you know someone who does? Would you like us to pray for someone you know? We have faith that God listens to the intercessors of the Saints Mary and Joseph Parish Prayer Line.

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

The meaning of Holy Week was explained through our Resurrection Eggs activity. Each egg contained a different symbol which corresponded to one of the days in Holy Week. This activity was well received as the children anticipated what symbol would be revealed in his/her egg.

The children were read the story The Cross in the Egg, which is told from the perspective of a rabbit who lives in the Garden of Gethsemane and follows Jesus to Jerusalem. Rabbit experiences the wonder of the Resurrection and gives away colored eggs to remind children of the gift of eternal life.

Dyeing eggs and making Easter Baskets was the highlight of the morning! Our eggs were “extra special” as each one had a cross on it! The children were amazed as their eggs were lifted from the dye and seeing the appearance of a cross, just like rabbit’s egg!

The children learn Prayers, songs, participate in games, engage in sensory activities, and complete crafts, all of which are related to the weekly Bible story message. Each week is filled with a lot of energy, excitement and fun! Hope to see your child(ren) at Kid’s Church during the 9:30 Mass at Mary Queen of Peace Church.

We’re needing more volunteers to help on a rotating basis! Interested? Please contact Susan Levesque @ 893-8661 or email her sue.levesque@comcast.net.
