Our Mission: To discover God's love, so we might love God, love others, and grow as a community of disciples.
Baptism is the first step in a child’s (or adult’s) faith life, when they come to share in Christ’s death so that they might share in His resurrection. In Baptism, we celebrate the beginning of the person’s relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We believe that a person encounters the Lord and comes to know Him most deeply when he/she is part of a Catholic Christian community called a parish. Being “in relationship” with Christ cannot be separated from being “in relationship” with the other members of His Body, the Church.
All Baptisms are private and celebrated at our Mary Queen of Peace Church campus. We have two Baptisms each Sunday, except in the season of Lent, during which we have no baptisms.
Please note that all Baptism Classes as well as the Baptism Celebration are held at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd., Salem NH 03079.
What do you need to do to schedule your child's Baptism
1. If you are not registered in the parish, you can do so here.
2. Once you are registered, just call the office to schedule your Baptism class and you'll be sent a packet of information in the mail.
3. Godparents will have a form to fill out from their home parish. This form can be found on the side bar of this page.
4. As soon as the Baptism class is completed and all paperwork is completed, you will be able to schedule your child's Baptism.
It is truly a joy to celebrate this occasion with your family! We look forward to welcoming your child into our parish community and the Universal Church!
