Since families of First Reconciliation and First Communion are returning to Mass, we thought that this might be an appropriate time to resume Children’s Liturgy of the Word. After much discussion and discernment:
We have decided to resume the Children’s Liturgy of the Word during the 9:30 Mass at MQP!!!
With the social distancing practices that are in place here we have determined that we could do this very safely. So, before the readings are proclaimed, children from Kindergarten through Grade 4 will be invited to line up to be dismissed to hear and discuss the Gospel at their level. (If numbers of those interested in joining this group is on the smaller end, we will then invite 5th graders). After praying their own Prayers of the Faithful, they will return to their parents for the second half of Mass.
Children, like all those who come to Mass, will need to wear masks for the duration. In our meeting room we will also have the chairs adequately spaced. See you soon!
