Cor Unum in Lawrence is happily making plans to reopen the doors to their dining room for the area’s needy. Despite having to close the dining room throughout the Covid shutdown, Cor Unum continued to provide daily breakfasts and dinners in the form of to-go boxed meals. Since it’s opening, the meal center has not missed one day of providing two meals a day to those in need.
The reopening of their dining room, for dinners only at this time, will be phased in. They are currently open on Sunday and Monday evenings. They are anticipating opening on Thursday evenings by February. Cor Unum is hoping that Saints Mary and Joseph will be willing to continue their support by providing volunteers to serve on the third Thursday of every month, beginning February 16th.
