Marc Russell Montminy was born on October 24, 1951 to Maurice and Lucille (Blais) Montminy in Berlin, New Hampshire.
In 1969 he entered St. John Seminary in Brighton Massachusetts and was ordained on May 7, 1977 to serve in the Diocese of Manchester by Bishop Odore Gendron.
He was assigned to St. Joseph Church in Salem, NH for five years before becoming co-director of Manchester Christian Life Center as well as founder and director of Spiritual Renewal Services for the Manchester Diocese. In November 1983, he became an assistant pastor at Ste. Marie Church in Manchester as well as the director of the Office of Worship.
In 1988 Fr. Marc was made pastor of Ste. Marie Church. He had a vision for the parish which would be eventually known as the New Evangelization as highlighted in a chapter from the book "John Paul II and the New Evangelization".
Fr. Marc founded Joseph House of Prayer, The Bookstore at Ste. Marie, an evangelization office, and many parish organizations--all of which increased the population of the parish.
Fr. Marc preached parish missions, retreats and days of renewal and presided over the centennial celebration of the parish.
After almost twenty-seven years in the parish and twenty-one years as pastor, Fr. Marc was reassigned as pastor of St. Michael Parish in Exeter, New Hampshire, where he served until volunteering for his present assignment as pastor of Saints Mary and Joseph Parish on June 30th, 2020.
