Our Lord insists that we come to him even when things seem hopeless, when we are painfully aware of our limitations. In moments of trial and suffering, how easily we begin to demand that the Lord quickly make our difficulties go away. But Jesus wants us to come close and place ourselves into his hands because this is precisely how we will best experience the love of his Eucharistic heart. “However small and insignificant you think you are,” he says, “however unprepared you feel, unite yourself to me with confidence in my love for you.” All are welcome to come and experience God’s deep love through prayers, anointing and laying-on of hands.
