Thank you to all who contributed to the Capital Campaign matching funds effort by the Knights of Columbus. It was very successful! We have now reached $200,000.00 towards our goal of $500,000.00. Thank you for your extraordinary generousity!
Fr. Marc & the Finance Committee
With many notable improvements completed in the past few years, we now want to upgrade the facilities at MQP. New sheetrock walls and painting have been started. We need to upgrade all restrooms in the church and office/classroom areas (including handicapped accessibility), replace the flooring in the church, raise the altar for better visibility, move the choir area, update the kitchen in the function space, refurbish all the pews, and some safety-related features. While a firm budget for all of this is not yet available, we have asked the Bishop for permission to get started on a campaign to raise up to $500,000 for this effort over the next 2 years, starting November 1st, 2022. We will proceed with projects on a prioritized basis, and do not intend to pursue any loans from the Diocese for this. Donations or pledges to this important effort can be made online by clicking the button below 2022-24 Capital Campaign or by using the envelopes available in the pews. Please make checks payable to Saints Mary & Joseph Parish, and write “2022-24 Capital Campaign” in the memo line. We will give periodic updates on this, and of course, you will hopefully see the work on improvements as they progress. We hope you will join in supporting this ongoing campaign.
FINANCES: We hope you will see that a lot of good work has been accomplished in restoring Saints Mary & Joseph Parish to a more hopeful financial future, in order to support our many wonderful spiritual and Eucharistic celebrations, programs and ministries. Also, with the help of your donations, generous support from the Knights of Columbus and major donors, Safety Grants from the Diocese, and volunteer efforts, we have accomplished an impressive list of repairs and upgrades in a relatively short time.
