Lenten Season Special Experience hosted by St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry, NH. Nine rare Relics of Christ’s Passion are available for veneration on Sunday, March 8 beginning at 1:00pm, with veneration following the program at around 2:00pm. The Relics of the collection include: a piece of the true cross discovered by St. Helena; a piece of the Holy Table from the room where the Last Supper took place; a piece of the Column of Flagellation; a piece of the Crown of Thorns; a replica of the Holy Nail made from filings from the true nails; a relic (bone) of St. Longinus, the centurion who pierced the side of Christ; a picture of the Veil of Veronica touched to the original; a piece of the exterior wrapping for the Shroud of Turin; Relics of the Holy Apostles.
A collection such as this is generally seen only in Rome or the Holy Land. The presentation is being brought to us as part of a nationwide tour by the Apostolate for Holy Relics that highlights a collection of holy relics from the Passion of Our Lord.
