Our Mission: To discover God's love, so we might love God, love others, and grow as a community of disciples.
The Pastor is ultimately responsible for all parish finances. Church Law (Canon 1280 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law) and diocesan norms recognize the tremendous responsibility given to Pastors in the area of parish finances. Accordingly, every parish is required to have a Finance Council, which is an advisory body whose membership includes individuals skilled in finance, civil law, construction/engineering, and/or business. The council’s duties include the following.
The Finance Council has generally met monthly to review and analyze the financial activities of the parish, monitor compliance with the annual budget, review financial reports, and review the financial impact of the mission and ministry of the parish as established by the Pastor.
It is our goal to be good stewards of the financial treasures that our parishioners have entrusted to the parish. It is no easy task, and we invite both your comments and your willingness to serve on the Finance Council.
The Finance Council meetings are held at our St. Joseph campus in the Family Room (below St. Joseph Church) at 40 Main Street at 7:00 PM. The last meeting was held on Tuesday, Feb. 28th. There is no date set for the next meeting at this time.
