“Charter” – a standing committee of the parish dedicated to the full, conscious, and active participation in the liturgy. The Liturgy Committee assists the pastor in preparing, providing, and maintaining a vision of liturgy throughout the liturgical celebrations for our parish family. 

The annual liturgical calendar for the Diocese of Manchester is followed in relation to:
--Holy Days of Obligation
--Advent season
--Christmas season
--Ordinary time
--Lenten season
--Easter season

The liturgical calendar includes regulations specific to decorating, feast celebrations, music, colors, weddings, and funerals. Examples include the diocesan directives during the COVID 19 pandemic (no sign of peace, no washing of the feet on Holy Thursday, not receiving from the cup, etc.).   
The Liturgy Committee follows the guidelines set forth by the Diocese of Manchester for all the liturgical seasons.

The committee schedules meetings prior to known liturgical seasons for planning. Any scheduled meetings are held in the Family Room at our St. Joseph campus, 40 Main St., Salem, NH 03079. The last meeting was held on Tuesday, April 16th, and the next meeting has not yet been scheduled.
