Our garden is now fenced in, more vegetables have been planted and fertilized, several families and a girl scout troop have volunteered to be scheduled to weed, water and harvest throughout the summer! Click here for more!
For several years a small group has been meeting on the first Wednesday of each month for a pot luck dinner. We start with a prayer and then eat and socialize. It's a great way to get to know fellow parishioners. Bring a dish (appetizer, main entree, dessert, etc.) to share. It truly is POT LUCK. Hope to see some of you on Wednesday, June, 7th, at 5:30 pm in St. Julie Hall.
Thank you to all who attended the Centennial Rosary and Mass of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13. The church was filled with joyous people from our own parish and neighboring parishes. Our prayers were joined with all the prayers and masses celebrated for peace throughout the world that day. Thank you to the children, Arianna and Gianna Centazzo, Ryan Gomez, Rihana Gomez and Jacqueline Murphy for leading the rosary. Our magnificent choir sang beautifully accompanied by Chris Lacey. A special thank you to all who donated refreshments as it was a most welcoming sight to all who came after Mass for fellowship. Click here to enjoy pictures of the day
Thank you to Fr.Tom and Fr. Al, the team teachers, music ministry, the Parents and our First Communicants, who over the past two weekends celebrated and inspired our parishioners here at Sts. Mary and Joseph Parish. As a special note of gratitude, we want to thank the ladies of the parish who lovingly made Rosary beads for all the children. God Bless the children and their families. Saints Mary and Joseph Parish makes donations of fresh fruit every week throughout the school year to the Salem School District for the "End 68 Hours of Hunger" program. This program is a private, not-for-profit effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school on Friday and the free breakfast they receive in school on Monday. Pictured is parishioner David Harris, owner of Harris Fruit & Produce who delivers the fruit weekly, along with Deborah Payne and Jennie Marshall, Program Directors at the Salem School District. Thank you David for helping the parish do God’s work to feed hungry children.
