If you missed the SMJP Easter Vigil, you missed a beautiful evening celebration, where God's children step out of the darkness and are bathed in the beautiful and purifying light of the risen Christ. Please see the "Mass & Homily Videos" a bit further down on our webpage to view the full mass or the homily. Meanwhile, please click above to listen to the inspirational and angelic voices and music of our Easter Vigil choir.
Pictures of the SMJP Volunteer Appreciation Dinner held at the St. Joseph School Auditorium on Wednesday night, 4/24/19. Many thanks to all of God's coworkers who humbly donate their time, talent, and treasure in order to continue to build the Kingdom of God on earth.
Beginning in May and going through October, there will be a Morning Mass at Mary Queen of Peace ON MONDAY at 9:00 AM. Contact the office if you would like to have intentions offered for that Mass since there are many openings! Also, we will be including the donors name in the bulletin for all of the Mass Intentions. If you only provided contact information when you booked a mass, please call the office to update your information. Thank You!
Three positions are available on our Pastoral Council this May. These three positions are for 3 years. Nomination forms will be in the pews this weekend, and you may nominate anyone, including yourself, whom you feel would be a good candidate for the council. The weekend of April 27-28, 2019 is the deadline for all nominations. The lay membership of the Pastoral Council is open to any confirmed parishioner in good standing, 18 years of age or older, registered with the parish, and actively practicing the Roman Catholic faith. All nominees will be contacted and invited to participate in a discernment process. Click here for more information.
All volunteers are cordially invited to attend the Annual Appreciation Dinner. It is being held in the St. Joseph School Auditorium on April 24th at 6:30 PM. If you have volunteered in any capacity, please plan on attending – you are very important to us! To help us determine how many will be attending, we will be giving out tickets after all of the Masses. Please take a ticket for each person attending! We look forward to serving you and appreciating you for all your work in our parish! Your Grateful Parish Staff
In this powerful Sacrament we are given personal access to the moment of Pentecost, when God sent His Holy Spirit down upon the Apostles in radical fullness. This is the Sacrament of Strengthening, through which the full power of God's Spirit is unleashed in our souls-that we might grow in greater intimacy with Him and in turn build up His Body, the Church. We are so happy for our parish's newly confirmed.
