Eucharistic Adoration, before the Blessed Sacrament exposed on the altar, transports us into sacred time and space, and brings marvelous blessings to individuals and communities. During adoration, worshipers meditate on Scripture, reflect on spiritual writings, pray the Rosary—and even sing and dance before God (when alone!). Some worshipers just sit in silence before God’s wordless presence. Traditional adoration is offered first Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, and every third Friday from 6 p.m. through noon on Saturday at St. Julie Hall. Participants are encouraged to sign up, if possible, for a specific hour of adoration.
Second Friday Adoration is completely different from traditional forms of adoration at our parish. The night starts with upbeat praise and worship music followed by an inspirational talk given by a dynamic speaker speaking on that night’s theme. The night culminates with a time of Eucharistic Adoration enhanced by more praise and worship music. It is a night of praise and worship music, dynamic speaking, and adoration all put together. It’s hard to describe without being there and seeing it so come and experience something new! Second Friday Adoration is at St. Joseph Church from 7:00 to 8:30pm.
