A children’s bereavement support group will meet March 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 10 to Noon in St. Julie Hall at St. Joseph Church. Call 893-6061 to register and for questions. For years we thought children did not grieve. That has been proven to be untrue and children at a very young age, even babies, do grieve. Most children cannot express their grief in words. However, they can express through crafts and stories. Four-year-old Cameron was eating dinner with his family one evening when he burst into tears. When his parents asked him what was wrong, he said “I miss Great Nona.” His great-grandmother had died six months earlier. Cameron had been carrying that grief all of that time. Linda O’Reilly will run the group and has been trained as a Bereavement Facilitator.
